INTEGRATION OF CADASTRAL DATA AND REMOTE SENSING FOR ASSESSING LAND USE IN HIGH-PRESSURE GAS PIPELINE PROTECTION ZONES (A Case Study of Fergana District)
Authors/Creators
Description
This study proposes an integrated approach that combines cadastral data and satellite remote sensing within a GIS to assess land use in the protection zones of high-pressure gas pipelines in Fergana District, Uzbekistan. Using buffer-zone delineation, spatial overlay, image classification and change detection, supported by accuracy assessment and field verification, the method identifies discrepancies between registered land information and actual surface conditions and locates potentially incompatible land uses. The resulting reproducible workflow can help land administration authorities and pipeline operators update cadastral records and monitor protection zones, though its effectiveness depends on the accuracy, completeness and temporal consistency of the integrated datasets.
