Description

Abstract

Digital marketing has become an important component of contemporary marketing strategy as consumers increasingly use search engines, social media, online reviews, websites and mobile applications during the purchase journey. This study examines the relationship between digital marketing exposure and consumer purchase intention in the Indian market, with particular attention to content quality, social media engagement, online reviews, perceived trust and convenience. The paper adopts a descriptive and analytical research design using a structured questionnaire framework and a synthesized empirical dataset of 400 consumers for demonstration of the analytical model. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation and multiple regression are proposed as the principal techniques. The analytical results indicate that perceived trust, online review usefulness, content relevance and convenience are positively associated with purchase intention, while excessive promotional exposure can weaken consumer response. The study also highlights the importance of integrating digital touchpoints rather than treating social media, search, content and customer reviews as isolated activities. The paper contributes a practical framework for marketers seeking to improve consumer engagement and purchase conversion in an increasingly mobile-first Indian market. Because the dataset used in this manuscript is a model research dataset prepared for methodological illustration, the numerical findings should be replaced by the author's verified field data before journal submission.
