Description
This work bridges the formal gap between the microscopic scale and the system level within the framework of the Asymptotic Thermodynamic Efficiency Theory (ATET). Previously, ATET postulated that a system's informational cost rate (\(\eta \equiv J_F / \Delta I\)) must decrease over time (\(d\eta/dt < 0\)). We analytically demonstrate that this macroscopic condition is not a naive linear average, but rather the result of an exponential selection process operating on individual trajectories (\(\gamma \)), driven by the fundamental condition \(d\eta_i/dt < 0\).
Decomposing this derivative uncovers a dual-lever survival structure:
- Physical or Evolutionary Lever (Slope 1): Minimizes free energy dissipation (\(J_{F}\)) while maintaining a constant structural order (\(\Delta I\)) (dissipative adaptation).
- Informational or Learning Lever (Slope 2): Maximizes structural order (\(\Delta I\)) under fixed dissipation constraints (\(J_{F}\)) (free energy principle).
By integrating Crooks fluctuation theorem with Large Deviations Theory (LDP) via Sanov's and Varadhan's theorems, we rigorously prove that the surviving population of trajectories forms a Gibbs ensemble. This ensemble concentrates exponentially around the microstates of minimum \(\eta \) (Laplace principle), resolving the composition fallacy between micro and macro behaviors, and expanding the Energy Release Theorem across both domains.
Lastly, this inequality explains why the physical slope dominates at the atomic scale (quantum/molecular stability) while the informational slope dictates the planetary scale (biological and technological complexity). The universality of ATET is validated through tri-domain empirical data (E. coli with \(\alpha \approx 0.15\), blockchain with \(\alpha \approx 0.085\), and CPU with \(\alpha \approx 5.73\)) and grounded via stochastic Langevin simulations.
