The Bundle Frequency — A Resonance Test of the β⁻ Decay Rate Named by Wavon Mechanic
Description
Abstract
Wavon Mechanics (WM) is a lattice theory that writes every particle as a seat of three letters (a ·
b · c). In its ledger the neutron carries the same letters as the proton (a₆b₃) plus one bundle —
three two-letter seats, ac + ca + bb, letters a₂b₂c₂ — and β⁻ decay is the rearrangement of that
bundle into the seats of the electron (cab) and the antineutrino (acb). The energy the bundle
holds inside the neutron is read directly from measurement: mₙ − mₚ = 1.2933 MeV. By WM's
ground rule ("energy appears only as wavelength") this energy corresponds to one frequency: fb
= 3.127 × 10²⁰ Hz (λb = 958.6 fm). This paper offers that number as a pre-registered test:
irradiating a neutron-rich nucleus (¹³⁷Cs) or free neutrons with photons tuned to the bundle
frequency (1.2933 MeV) should change the β⁻ decay rate resonantly. Standard physics has no
channel by which photons of this energy alter a β decay rate (giant resonances lie above 10
MeV, photonuclear thresholds above 6 MeV, and the electron-shell channels do not exist for the
β⁻ of ¹³⁷Cs or the free neutron), so its expectation is zero. Two natural sources sit within 176–238
ppm of the resonance — ¹¹⁶ᵐIn (1293.56 keV) and ⁴¹Ar (1293.64 keV) — while the two lines of ⁶⁰Co
(1173 · 1332 keV) provide off-resonance controls of the same kind. If the decay rate changes
only on the resonance lines, WM's bundle picture has hit a number no other theory names; if it
does not change, the method hypothesis "resonance opens the bundle" dies — the lattice itself
does not die by this test. This paper does not predict the size of the effect; WM cannot yet
produce that number.
