Electronic supplementary material for the research article "Spatial Variation and Temporal Change of Agricultural Land Reserve in Syria (2011–2024)" (Al-Ajeel & Ahmadia).
The file contains: (A) documentation of data sources (Syrian Ministry of Agriculture, Agricultural Statistical Abstract, 2005–2024); raw data on arable land (AA) and actually cultivated land (CA) by governorate; annual land-use index (LUI) and expansion reserve (R) values by governorate; derived indicators for 2024 underlying the reserve maps; map specifications and reproduction steps (QGIS 3.44.7, GADM 4.1, WGS 84 / UTM zone 37N); the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI, ERA5) and its relationship to LUI; a critical comparison with previous studies; and a comparison with independent satellite-based sources (Landsat classification, ESA WorldCover).
