Description

Slides of the talk From Code Archival to Knowledge Graph: Bridging Software Heritage, COAR Notify and Wikidata, presented at the 6th Wikidata Workshop, co-located with ISWC 2026 (Bari, Italy), on 25 October 2026, in Session 1 (Applications, integration and interoperability).

Software is a first-class scientific object, yet validated links between source code and the scholarly record remain largely absent from the Linked Open Data cloud. The talk presents an end-to-end reconciliation pipeline over 4,397 editorially verified ⟨DOI, repository⟩ pairs from JOSS, SoftwareX, IPOL and the SIGMOD Availability and Reproducibility Initiative; two application profiles that keep scholarly articles and software instances distinct in Wikidata; and human-reviewed imports that created 4,182 new software items, anchored to Software Heritage through SWHIDs (P6138). It also shows how COAR Notify payloads map onto the same backend.
