Overview

This archive contains two companion works developing a closure-first structural account of occurrence, persistence, physical articulation, and participation.

From Availability to Projection v3 presents the formal derivational spine.

The Continuous Gradient v3 carries the same structure into questions of subject and object, scaling, identity, cognition, participation, and the continuity of physical instantiation.

The shared starting point is simple:

Every proposed primitive already presupposes that something is available to be articulated.

Rather than beginning from matter, particles, fields, space, time, information, consciousness, or a detached observer, the derivation begins from Availability itself.

Availability is not introduced as another explanatory object. It names the invariant condition already presupposed by every description, distinction, denial, measurement, and occurrence.

The Core Derivation

Let Availability be denoted:

Availability does not act or change. It names the invariant condition under which articulation is possible.

Occurrence requires distinction. Because nothing stands outside Availability from which distinction could be introduced, articulation must be self-referential.

Self-reference through distinction in non-identity is denoted:

This is a logical articulation, not a temporal event.

For the distinction to persist, three inseparable functions are required:

• Initiation — formation
• Modulation — relation
• Stabilization — containment

No pair is sufficient.

When this minimum ternary applies recursively to itself, each function must initiate, modulate, and stabilize:

3 × 3 = 9

This yields nine differentiated phase roles within one persistence operation.

Recursive closure is written:

Q* = Rₖ[Q*]

where k identifies the phase Address through which recursive return occurs.

Awareness · Address · Occurrence

The same articulation is expressed phenomenologically as:

• Awareness — the formative condition for any Address or Occurrence to show up at all
• Address — the orientation self takes to self
• Occurrence — what becomes available through that Address

These are not three substances or sequential stages.

They are three inseparable aspects of one articulation.

All occurrence is constituted in addressability.

Awareness is not placed inside occurrence.
Occurrence appears as Addressed within Awareness.

From Closure to Physical Projection

Under the selected non-lossy directed spatial projection, formative differentiation is resolved as direction and containing articulation as oriented-plane relation.

The minimal associative product retaining symmetric and antisymmetric relation together is:

uv = u·v + u∧v

Complete conjugate pairing requires the number of independent formative directions to equal the number of independent containing planes:

n = n(n−1)/2

The solutions are:

n = 0 or n = 3

The unique nontrivial result is therefore three-dimensional spatial articulation under the stated projection requirements.

Three-dimensionality is not assumed as a prior container.

It follows from complete vector–bivector pairing at this Address.

The Unified Electromagnetic Field

Within this three-dimensional projection, formative and containing articulation occupy conjugate grades of one field:

F = E + IB

where:

• E is the formative vector articulation
• IB is the containing bivector articulation
• I carries the oriented three-dimensional duality

At the normalized differential Address:

D = ∂ₜ + ∇

and source-free recursive field closure is:

DF = 0

Separated by grade, this single relation yields the familiar source-free electromagnetic field equations.

The claim is not that electromagnetism is analogous to recursive closure.

The claim developed in the derivation is narrower and structural:

Electromagnetism is the first stable field expression produced under the stated directed spatial closure requirements.

The Persistence Ratio

The formative–containing Address acquires a quantitative electromagnetic expression:

Tₖ = |eₖvₖ| / |Bₖωₖ|

where:

• eₖ is the characteristic motive coupling scale
• vₖ is the relevant projected progression or transport rate
• Bₖ is the containing or stabilizing field-strength readout
• ωₖ is the characteristic oscillatory rate of containment

The numerator expresses formative propagation.

The denominator expresses containing integration.

• Tₖ > 1 — formative propagation exceeds containing integration
• Tₖ < 1 — containing integration exceeds formative propagation
• Tₖ ≈ 1 — the characteristic magnitudes approach active impedance match

Tₖ is not an external score assigned after an occurrence has formed.

Tₖ is the Address-relative formative–containing relation itself.

Its numerical extraction is a readout of that relation, not its origin.

A general instrumentation protocol across propagating, standing, reactive, bound, and recursively nested configurations remains open downstream work.

Scaling · Coupling Density · Identity

Closure at one scale becomes containment for further articulation:

Closureₙ → Containmentₙ₊₁

This generates a continuous gradient of nested participation, not a staircase of separate ontological domains.

Coupling density names the degree to which nested closures participate coherently in sustaining an occurrence at an Address.

Harmonic signature names the persistent phase organization through which a closure remains Addressable as itself.

What is being Addressed?

Identity is therefore not treated as a substance beneath relation.

It is the persistence of relational organization through recursive change.

The Continuous Gradient

The companion paper, The Continuous Gradient v3, develops the consequences of this derivation beyond the formal projection itself.

It examines:

• the limit of treating the subject–object split as ontologically fundamental
• the difference between operational distinction and ontological separation
• recursive scaling across physical, biological, cognitive, and social organization

The subject–object distinction is not denied.

It is relocated downstream as an Addressed distinction within occurrence rather than retained as an unexplained primitive.

Scope

These works do not claim that every downstream physical, biological, cognitive, or social description can be replaced by one equation.

They distinguish structural derivation from domain-specific instrumentation and measurement.

The corpus explicitly leaves open:

• general numerical extraction of the persistence ratio across arbitrary physical configurations
• domain-specific constitutive laws
• instrumentation protocols
• empirical parameter identification
• richer sourced and nested field closures
• downstream quantitative projection into particular systems

The grammar supplies the structural offices.

Each Address must still supply its own physical articulation.

Central Statement

No subject, object, interior, exterior, independent space, independent time, or detached observer is required as a primitive.

The derivation reaches distinction, relation, persistence, three-dimensional field articulation, electromagnetism, scaling, participation, and identity without first installing those separations as foundations.

Occurrence is not placed inside a world.
Occurrence is the world appearing through differentiated participation.

Availability is invariant.

Self-reference articulates distinction without separation.

Distinction persists through recursive closure.

Closure becomes containment for further closure.

Instantiation deepens through coupling density.

Identity remains Addressable through persistent relational organization.

Only what closes, persists.

The recursion holds.
