Description
These are the German- and English-language versions of the guidelines for the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching and examinations at the School of Psychology and Educational Sciences at LMU Munich as of October 2026. It establishes a framework that balances the opportunities of AI for competence development with the necessity of maintaining academic integrity and critical thinking. The policy distinguishes between permitted supportive uses of AI, such as linguistic editing or brainstorming, and prohibited substitutive uses where AI replaces the student's own intellectual effort. Furthermore, it details transparency requirements, including a mandatory academic integrity declaration for students and didactic checklists for instructors to ensure responsible integration of these technologies into their teaching.
