DemocraSeek – Digital Democracy Knowledge Navigator

DemocraSeek is an open-source, AI-powered digital democracy knowledge navigator developed by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) within the Horizon Europe INNOVADE project (Grant Agreement No. 101178306).

The tool enables citizens, public authorities, researchers and other stakeholders to explore knowledge about digital democracy through natural-language interaction. Using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), DemocraSeek provides evidence-based answers grounded in a curated collection of INNOVADE research outputs and selected external publications, with citations and source references.

Its user-adaptive conversational interface tailors explanations to users' roles, objectives, support needs and preferred presentation styles, while supporting multilingual interaction. DemocraSeek aims to make digital democracy knowledge more accessible and understandable, supporting informed civic participation, research and public decision-making.
