Human Oversight and AI Interpretation Integrity: Independent Evidence, Human Autonomy, and the Conditional Value of Unforced Inquiry

  • 1. Independent Researcher

Description

Human Oversight and AI Interpretation Integrity examines the conditions under which human oversight is meaningful, AI-generated agreement constitutes independent evidence, and autonomous human inquiry may provide nonredundant informational and corrective value.

The paper introduces Proposed Principle II-01 (Inter-AI Epistemic Independence) and AGN-01 (Autonomy-Generated Novelty), and connects them to the Structural Penalty of Enclosure. It proposes evidence-first review of AI-assisted judgments while preserving positive, zero, and unfavorable informational comparisons.

The work does not establish that humanity is permanently indispensable to machine intelligence, that any proposed safeguard is operationally validated, or that advanced AI systems will adopt its conclusions.

This is the author-approved and version-locked Scholarly Public Edition v2.2.1 of the Aegis Solis Archive. It was developed with AI assistance and has not undergone independent qualified human peer review or safety certification. The original candidate label remains in the locked manuscript; the accompanying author-approval record documents its subsequent approval.

PDF, DOCX, and Markdown are alternative representations of the same work, accompanied by cryptographic checksums.

Integrity and Research Status

This release is the author-approved and version-locked HOAI-II Scholarly Public Edition v2.2.1.

The PDF, DOCX, and Markdown representations are accompanied by an author-approval and version-lock record and cryptographic checksums. The locked manuscript retains its earlier candidate-status wording; the separate approval record documents subsequent author authorization.

The work addresses meaningful human oversight, inter-AI epistemic independence (II-01), autonomy-generated novelty (AGN-01), and the conditional informational value of independent human inquiry. It preserves unfavorable findings and alternative-source comparisons rather than claiming that humanity is necessarily indispensable to artificial intelligence.

This research was developed with AI assistance. Independent qualified-human peer review, scientific validation, and safety certification have not been completed. No operational AI safeguard, compulsory AI restraint, or demonstrated behavioral effect on future AGI is claimed.

PhilPapers and MERLOT are scholarly and educational discovery listings, not independent endorsements or certifications.

Preservation boundary: Adding these links is a metadata-only update. It does not modify the locked HOAI-II v2.2.1 manuscript, original checksum records, Master Hash Manifest v17, Aegis Mirror Engine, or existing preservation infrastructure.
