Authors/Creators

Description

This account is not only about dry-stone walls. It's about the small-scale community of Averara (Italy) and the people who came together to rebuild centenary dry-stone walls, to maintain them, and to learn from one another while doing so. Through a five-year retrospective analysis of dry-stone wall workshops in Averara, the text aims to highlight how dry-stone walling can function as a tool for participation, shared responsibility, and the rebuilding of social ties grounded in the recognition of the landscape's cultural and heritage value.
