Description

This number of the International Terraced Landscapes Alliance Journal is given over to terrace pedagogy: to the ways in which knowledge of dry-stone terraces is passed on to children, young people and adults. Seven contributions from Germany, Austria, Italy, France and Cyprus describe mobile stone workshops and school excursions, children’s vineyards, community workshops that rebuilt a collapsed wall, a living wall built by students, and diaries of drystone activities devised for children from three to sixteen. Together they set out a repertoire of learning initiatives and reflect on what the work returns to the educator.
