Rationality in the Bible

Description

This note is a Human-AI collaboration following the question, “What rationality might the Bible contain?” I am also inclined to call it God’s rationality. The question arose after completing the long-standing undertaking published as Rationality as an Evolving Conceptual Topography (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22589659). Its perspective on evolution across space and time became a starting point for exploring biblical passages and placing them back over that conceptual topography. Textual exploration and mapping took place from August 23 to September 14, 2026. [1, 2]
Even after completing the map, I found it difficult to understand. After several days of thinking that such difficulty was natural with God’s Word, the possibility of three layers occurred to me on September 17. I then recognized that part of this thought had appeared in my personal reflection of June 16. I gathered these materials for this note. [2, 3]
Throughout, the human and AI sought to follow a rule of reading: use what is present in Scripture, and acknowledge what is absent. The three layers introduced at the end are my interpretation. In my own terms, this is my second departure from that rule; the first was To Caesar What is Caesar’s, To God What is God’s(https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22782152). All errors are my responsibility.

Version02: This work was undertaken to articulate "parental rationality" as part of the author's conceptualization added to the latter half of Rationality in the Bible (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22806353). The author intervened in the AI's reading of the biblical text by instructing it to compare the entire "parenting decision web" using specific criteria rather than individual component words.

Although the reading sequence for this project was strictly structured from Scripture -> Biblical/Theological Literature -> General Parenting Literature, it was discovered that the AI was treating the inherent value of Scripture and general parenting literature with a 1:1 parity. This intervention was necessary to rectify that analytical flattening.

Readers are therefore requested to keep this methodological context in mind. Most importantly, it is highly recommended that you cross-reference this commentary directly with the scriptural texts themselves as you read.

Version 03: Using AI, we rated our rationality on a 100-point scale.

Version 04: I hesitated at this challenging slot, but took courage to find the root cause of low human rationality in the Scriptures using AI. The text used is the King James Version (KJV).
