Description
This article analyses the theoretical and methodological foundations and
pedagogical mechanisms of using Internet technologies to develop the professional qualities of
computer science teachers. Professional qualities are conceptualised as an interconnected system of
subject knowledge, methodological decision-making, critical evaluation of information, professional
collaboration, reflective regulation, and digital responsibility. Drawing on technological
pedagogical content knowledge, the digital competence framework for educators, and research on
online professional development, the article clarifies the conditions necessary to realise the
educational potential of Internet technologies. The relationship between technology use and
professional development is explained through instructional design, practical application, feedback,
and reflection. Based on a theoretical synthesis, a methodological model is proposed that
encompasses needs assessment, expert evaluation of resources, collaborative design, practical
implementation, and evidence-based revision. The article argues that evaluating the model requires
separate consideration of changes in professional knowledge, transfer to teaching practice, and
outcomes in students’ learning activities.
