GISFORUS Spatial Research Suite — Geospatial & Remote-Sensing Analysis Pipeline

Authors/Creators

  • 1. GISFORUS

Description

An open R / Shiny + Google Earth Engine pipeline for reproducible, publishable remote-sensing research: land-cover and change analysis, spectral-index libraries, trend and correlation statistics, and a marine/coral module (blue-green bottom index, coral-vs-algae variability screen, Degree Heating Weeks, turbidity, Allen Coral Atlas masking). It produced the analysis in the companion paper, which uses the 2018-2022 Maya Bay (Ko Phi Phi Leh, Thailand) tourism closure in a three-tier nested before-after/control-impact (BACI) design to show that the reef's apparent post-closure "greening" is a region-wide, likely macroalgal signal rather than a closure effect, and that a blue-green optical index cannot on its own separate coral from algae.
