Verumano Human Origin (NO AI) Specification v0.3

Authors/Creators

Description

The Verumano Specification defines how the Verumano label (formerly Human Origin) certifies human-made creative work through a review of the creative process, not through AI detection.

It specifies:

  • Creator identifiers (VM-YYYY-NNNN; legacy HO- IDs remain valid)
  • A closed set of statuses: reviewed, self-declared, revoked, demo
  • Review requirements: live walkthrough or screen recording with a one-time code, evidence by discipline (writing, illustration, photography, music, video)
  • Public verification pages and their required fields
  • Dynamic SVG badges, seals and watermarks, rendered by the server so that revocation shows everywhere within one hour
  • Work fingerprints: SHA-256 computed on the user's device; files are never uploaded
  • A read-only public verification API (CORS, no key, rate-limited without storing IP addresses)
  • Revocation, domain blocking, privacy and retention rules
  • Security limits and conformance rules for third-party platforms

The label does not claim to prove that no AI was used. It certifies that a human creative process was shown and examined.

What's new in v0.3: the label is renamed Verumano. New creator IDs use the VM prefix; existing HO IDs stay valid and are never reassigned. The reference implementation moves to lochness-paris.com/verumano and the former subdomain redirects permanently. Statuses, badges and API are unchanged.
