Amendments to the Universal Model Framework. Author's Reply to the Hypothesis Refinery Panel of 28 July 2026.
Authors/Creators
Description
This document responds to four amendments and one research question raised by the panel respondent, to five questions raised from the floor, to one question received in correspondence, and to three defects identified by the author during preparation of this reply. It further places on the record one theorem restated and one invitation to comment. Seventeen numbered items are entered below. Ten are accepted, one in part, two with modification, and one — the most fundamental — is accepted as an unanswered problem and registered as such. Three are placed on the record without disposition, including one open invitation. Separately, §7 declines one proposal in its metaphysical form while accepting it in its structural form. A consolidated register with implementation status is given in §9. Two accepted amendments require the withdrawal or reformulation of published predictions; one requires the retirement of a formulation that has appeared throughout the corpus. A consolidated register of resulting status changes is given in §9.
The author records that the panel's central verdict — that the framework's epistemic discipline is sound and that its consciousness firewall is a legitimate construction — is accepted gratefully and without qualification, and that the amendments below are offered in the spirit in which the critique was given.
