German Syllable Frequencies

This database contains analyses for syllable frequencies analysed on 6 existing speech corpora. Often, syllable frequencies have been extracted from written text, which may show considerable differences in the frequencies of occurrence of individual lexemes. To receive a more plausible account of actual spoken syllable frequencies, Samlowski (2016) analysed syllable frequencies across several available speech corpora, containing various speaking styles, levels of formality and spontaneity.
