Description
Abstract
“The Effects of Industrial Noise on Human Mental Health and Well-being in Khonkaenwittayayon School” has the purpose of the study 1.) the effects of industrial noise on human mental health and well-being, 2.) raising public awareness of individuals in respect of industrial noise, which leads to temporary or permanent problems in the future. By the limitation of the study, the researchers determined Khonkaenwittayayon School as a sample location. The research consisted of a survey method using a self-administered questionnaire to collect data by direct-interview procedure; with purposive sampling. The sample group are including of 98 samples.
The researchers have developed a questionnaire to assemble opinions concerning the impact of industrial noise on the mental health and well-being of the population in Khonkaenwittayayon School. The time of collecting are 11:00-12:00 and 16:00-17:30. With a Statistic Package for Social Sciences or SPSS, which is divided into two parts as follows: 1.) Background: personal information of the informant, consisting of name, age, gender, and career. 2.) Opinion: views about industrial noise in Khonkaenwittayayon School.
The research methodology has five instruments, including Population, Sample Group, Research Instrument, Data Collection, and Data Analysis. The Independent TTest is the statistic used in the research. In the totality of 5 locations, which are: ii Construction Area, Building 1, Building 2, Building 4; 20 examples. Building 3, Building 5, Building 9; 20 samples. Building 6, Building 7, Building 11; 20 samples. Building 10; 19 samples, and Building 8; 19 samples, using the Taro Yamane formula (n = N/1+N(e)^2) provides 90% confidence and 10% allowable error.
The study found that industrial noise affects human mental health and wellbeing. However, people avoid and consider the noise inconsequential. The difference is insignificant because the null hypothesis is not rejected; with the verification of the Statistic Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).
Conclusively, due to the occurred problem, the researchers need to study more to prevent possible future trouble from industrial noise.
Methodological & Statistical Transparency Note:
The authors openly acknowledge that the statistical test implementation presented in this preliminary work contains technical and methodological limitations (specifically regarding test design selection and sample group configuration). This artifact is published in an open-access format for educational and archival transparency, serving as a foundational baseline for future, more rigorously controlled empirical analyses.
