Codex credit depletion: public forensic review package
Description
Public forensic review package documenting a client-side reconstruction of OpenAI Codex tier settings, token-usage counters, and disputed purchased-credit depletion. It contains minimized evidence, executable calculations, provenance and correction records, competing explanations, and dated support correspondence through 6 October 2026.
The release distinguishes reproducible client-side calculations from questions requiring confidential-source re-extraction or provider-side records. These include historical authorization, request attribution, effective pricing, credit debits, and settlement. The package does not establish fraud, a causal product defect, or a specific credit-restoration entitlement. Individual remediation in credits is being pursued through Support and concerns the same underlying incident.
Preparation and analysis used AI assistance. AI-assisted review does not constitute independent human peer review or provider confirmation.
This deposit preserves the public v1.0 evidence archive released by HORTRAME Systems on 6 October 2026 without changing its contents.
