The 25 September 2018 Palu Earthquake, Indonesia: a compilation of online data
Description
The Palu earthquake hit the north-western part of the Sulawesi island of Indonesia on 25 September 2018. It caused extensive surface effects, including surface faulting which has been observed thanks to various techniques, from field work to geodesy. This dataset is of primary significance for the earthquake geology community.
In the framework of a INQUA project (SURFACE), a worldwide and unified database of surface faulting cases (SURE) is being implemented to improve the Surface Displacement Hazard Analyses. This compilation of published data aims at providing useful information for that specific case in the perspective of a future implementation of this case in SURE.
