Description
Monthly Core Web Vitals results from real Chrome visitors for 48 ecommerce platforms and the whole web, January 2020 to August 2026, mobile and desktop. For every platform and month the dataset gives the number of sites measured and the share with good Loading (Largest Contentful Paint), Responsiveness (Interaction to Next Paint), Visual stability (Cumulative Layout Shift), all three together, server response (Time to First Byte) and First Contentful Paint.
It adds segments for the 12 largest platforms by popularity rank (Top 1k to Top 10M) and by visitor country (13 countries), plus median Lighthouse scores and page weight (total, JavaScript, images) from the HTTP Archive lab crawl.
Key results for August 2026: 76.5% of Shopify sites pass all three Core Web Vitals on mobile, against 39.5% of WooCommerce sites and 53.0% of all websites, and only 12.7% of WooCommerce sites have a good server response.
The analysis, charts and limitations are published in the report How Fast Are Online Stores? Speed Data by Platform by CartHacker. The Python scripts fetch.py and analyze.py rebuild every file and every figure from the public HTTP Archive Technology Report API.
Source data: Chrome UX Report (Google, CC BY 4.0), processed by the HTTP Archive Core Web Vitals Technology Report, which detects each site's platform on its home page with the HTTP Archive fork of Wappalyzer.
