Characteristic peristomial development forming a hood over the orifice. D. Avicularian columnar cystid showing the uneven marginal expansions and the characteristic pseudosinus. E. Avicularia of smaller size lacking marginal expansions and pseudosinus. F. Two ovicells; notice the presence of two pores and the deep development of the peristomial rim that encircles totally the ovicell.
