Opening Doors for Discovery: How the Australian Access Federation and Phenomics Australia are building the future of life sciences research
Authors/Creators
Description
Australian Access Federation (AAF) and Phenomics Australia launched an innovation incubator project to make it easier and more secure for life sciences researchers to access and share critical phenomics data across institutions and platforms.
The project is exploring a centralised identity and access ecosystem that could streamline researcher authentication and permissions across services including the Australian Phenome Bank and Australian Stem Cell Registry.
By reducing barriers to collaboration and creating simpler, more consistent access to complex datasets, the initiative aims to accelerate research in areas such as genetics, stem cells and therapeutic development, ultimately enabling discoveries that could improve healthcare and save lives.
