Orgonotic Light Functions. Part 3 — by Wilhelm Reich, M.D.

Wilhelm Reich expands his laboratory tracking of evacuated glass tubes ("vacor tubes" at 0.5 micron pressure). He observes that when these tubes are sufficiently charged with orgone energy and excited by an electric tension between 100 to 1000 volts, a distinct bluish-violet lumination begins at both electrodes. As voltage climbs, the negative electrode field ("excited by the negative electric pole") expands and dominates, eventually pushing away the positive field until the entire tube glows strongly, shifting from blue-violet to a brilliant white resembling daylight.

Wilhelm Reich links this to an atmospheric model, suggesting that daylight itself is an orgonotic lumination effect triggered by the sun interacting with the earth's orgone envelope. Critically, he notes a severe charging anomaly: vacor tubes prepared before the blizzard of December 1947 remained highly active (registering up to 18,000 impulses per second on a Geiger-Müller counter), whereas tubes manufactured throughout 1948 failed to hold a steady charge. Reich notes that 1947 was a year of peak sunspot activity, hypothesizing that vacuum-lumination properties may naturally fluctuate in alignment with broader cosmic sunspot cycles.

The Treatment of a Mediastinal Malignancy — by Simeon J. Tropp, M.D.

A clinical case history tracking a 69-year-old woman suffering from progressive breathing distress, exhaustion, and chronic weight loss. A formal radiological assessment by a lung specialist on July 16, 1948, revealed an oval, non-vascular tumor measuring approximately 2 x 3 inches ( 9×5 cm) in the left upper mediastinum, displacing her trachea.
The patient was placed on a treatment regimen utilizing a three-layer orgone accumulator for thirty-minute sessions, two to three times daily. Tropp records immediate physical reactions: an influx of bodily warmth, mild sweats, and the termination of severe coughing fits within minutes of entering the box.
Sequential X-ray checkups document the tumor shrinking significantly to 6×4 cm, by October 1947.

By January 4, 1949, a subsequent radiological report confirmed the complete visual disappearance of the primary tumor mass, accompanied by localized upper lobe collapse (atelectasis) as the tissue adjusted. Biological blood tests taken late in January 1949 verified healthy red blood cell charge, high blue color index, and an optimal 60-70% "B-reaction" under autoclaving.

Tropp addresses the professional pushback encountered, tracking the excitement and hidden rage of conventional colleagues who refused to accept the evidence of the plates.

Public Responsibility in the Early Diagnosis of Cancer — Archives of the Orgone Institute

An archival review detailing "Case No. 13," a 41-year-old woman examined initially in late 1942. Applying early orgonomic cancer blood and uterine discharge secretion tests, the Institute detected active carcinomatous cell formations (classified as Ca III and later Ca IV) as early as February 1943—long before traditional clinical screening or standard biopsies could visualize a definitive growth.

The Institute repeatedly urged the family and their conventional gynecologist to perform a radical preventive removal of the uterus. However, because the patient was concurrently using an orgone accumulator, her general systemic health, blood parameters, and weight dramatically improved. This visible vitality led her attending physicians to dismiss the Institute’s warnings of deep-seated malignancy.

By early 1947, the unoperated localized cervix erosion erupted into severe hemorrhaging; during emergency surgery, the tissue was discovered to be completely brittle and too decayed for sutures, and the patient succumbed in December 1947.

The text outlines formal protocols for experimental cancer treatment, noting that operable, encapsulated localized tumors should always be removed surgically, but must be paired with post-operative accumulator treatments to target the underlying, systemic "shrinking biopathy" of the total organism.

Toward the Healthy Child — by A. E. Hamilton

An educator and child therapist records his internal philosophical evolution during the First International Orgonomic Conference at Orgonon. Hamilton details observing Reich sketch structural models on a blackboard, seeking to unify God, ether, and the laws of thermodynamics into a singular functional energy framework. Hamilton details moving past his initial skepticism regarding mechanical laboratory tools (such as Geiger counters and field meters) by shifting his focus to the practical preservation of childhood development. He resolves to relocate his therapeutic practice entirely to a rural farm environment, utilizing Reich's principles of childhood self-regulation to actively prevent the onset of chronic muscular and emotional armoring in children.

Social Pathology: A Dilemma in Social Self-Government

An analytical essay probing the systemic vulnerability of democratic structures when confronted with authoritarian movements. The paper centers on the behavioral mechanics of "red fascism," pointing out that totalitarian movements systematically exploit individual liberty and legalistic protections specifically to dismantle those freedoms once they secure authority. The author argues that true social self-government cannot remain neutral; it must evolve from a passive, negative system into an active, positive defense mechanism that explicitly excludes the deceptive tactics, systemic distortions, and institutionalized slanders of fascistic actors.

Technical Notes & Questions and Answers

This section contains operational guidelines compiled by the Institute for utilizing multi-layered orgone accumulators:
  • Structural Material Optimization: Cardboard and dense vegetable fiber building boards are explicitly defined as structurally superior to raw wood because fiber configurations absorb atmospheric energy at a significantly faster rate.
  • Metal Alignment Rules: Iron sheets or steel wool are the only materials authorized for living organisms. Animal testing utilizing aluminum sheets, copper foils, or metallic paints yielded explicitly negative physiological results.
  • Lining Geometry: Modern multi-layered boxes are constructed using alternating layers of 0.5-inch thick steel wool and rockwool (or glass fiber) secured by thin wooden strips.
  • Operational Habits: Users are cautioned to use minimal clothing inside the box to maximize dermal absorption, and rooms housing an active accumulator require thorough, regular ventilation.

Critical Book Review Highlights

Review 1: I Want to Be Like Stalin (Yesipov & Goncharov) — Reviewed by Elizabeth Tyson

A rigorous critique of a state-sanctioned Soviet textbook on educational pedagogy. Tyson compares the totalitarian methods of the Soviet education system directly to the psychological mechanics outlined in Reich's The Mass Psychology of Fascism. The review demonstrates how the state deliberately enforces unquestioned, blind submission to authority, systematically blocks child self-regulation, and outlaws co-education. Tyson argues that this forced suppression of early emotional and biological energy intentionally creates a rigid, anxious, and socially helpless "armored" character structure—effectively shaping a submissive population primed for state regimentation, nationalistic hatred, and military mobilization.

Review 2: Death Be Not Proud (John Gunther) — Reviewed by M.S.

An evaluation of journalist John Gunther's memoir documenting his 16-year-old son Johnny's tragic 15-month struggle against a malignant brain tumor. The reviewer examines the orthodox interventions employed—including craniotomies, aggressive radiation treatments, and mustard gas therapies—highlighting the underlying therapeutic sterility of conventional cancer paradigms that focus entirely on destroying local tissue. The review highlights the partial success of the unorthodox "Gerson diet" used by the family, noting that Gerson's approach was logical because it aimed to support the total organism.

Ultimately, the reviewer laments that the family never discovered orgonomic cancer research, arguing that a strong accumulator could have offered a non-toxic method to support the boy's cellular bio-energy and alleviate his intractable physical pain.

Notes

This project exists to shatter the obscurity surrounding the original works and documents of Wilhelm Reich, M.D.—the pioneer who discovered The Orgone, Earth's vital Life Energy Radiation.

It is absolutely paramount that an honest, uncompromising, and unfettered intellectual exploration of Reich’s legacy be energetically pursued.

The very trajectory of human and planetary evolution hangs in the balance.

Technical Notes, Image Optimisation Cautions & Project Scope

Archival Condition & Scanning Status:

The current visual status of these digital reproductions is the direct result of manual operations executed under a historical lack of modern technical aids during the period when the scans were originally performed.

Meticulous Preservation Vigilance Warning:

While numerous contemporary options exist for sharpening, filtering, and increasing the legibility of these images, future researchers and digital archivists must maintain strict, meticulous vigilance if these copies are submitted to any automated online enhancement services or optical character recognition (OCR) platforms.

Because the central subject matter—the Orgone, or Life Energy's Radiation—functions as an extraordinary, indivisible dynamic unity holding the entire text together as a single Entity, the transformation or alteration of even a single word completely nullifies the integrity of the entire Volume.

All text optimisation must prioritise absolute fidelity over superficial digital clarity.
