ERROR OF NEW ACCELERATION MAGNETOELASTIC TRANSDUCERS
Description
The article systematizes the primary and additional errors of a new magnetoelastic acceleration transducer, and analytical expressions are derived for their evaluation. The dependence of the transducer's sensitivity, the degree of nonlinearity of its static characteristic, and its critical acceleration on the mass of the inertial element, as well as on structural and magnetic parameters, has also been established. To reduce zero-point error, it is recommended to manufacture magnetic circuits symmetrically, select sensitive elements in matched pairs by parameters, connect windings differentially, equalize working air gaps, and apply hardware- or software-based correction of the zero signal. To reduce the approximation error of the magnetic and magnetoelastic characteristics, it is justified to select functions with high approximation accuracy and to limit the working ranges of magnetic induction and mechanical stress. To reduce the error caused by instability of the excitation magnetomotive force, it has been established that a stabilized current source should be used, the excitation current should be controlled via feedback, the signal should be normalized against a reference channel, and ripples in the source current or voltage should be filtered.
