METABOLIC CHANGES IN OLIGOHYDRAMNIOS AND THEIR ASSOCIATION WITH FETAL AND PERINATAL OUTCOMES

This study examines metabolic changes in pregnancies complicated by oligohydramnios and evaluates their possible relationship with fetal development and perinatal outcomes. Particular attention is given to maternal metabolic characteristics, including glucose metabolism, body weight, nutritional status, and fluid balance, as well as their association with placental function and fetal growth. The study also considers important perinatal indicators such as birth weight, fetal condition, mode of delivery, Apgar score, and the need for additional neonatal care. A comprehensive assessment of maternal metabolic status together with fetal and placental parameters may provide additional information for identifying pregnancies with increased perinatal risk. The findings emphasize the importance of individualized antenatal monitoring and integrated evaluation of metabolic and fetal characteristics in pregnancies complicated by oligohydramnios.
