GCC health AI scientometric dataset (2011–2024): OpenAlex extraction script, concept identifiers and records
Description
- For each GCC country, the script retrieves OpenAlex works affiliated with that country, tagged with the concept Artificial intelligence (C154945302) at any score, and published 2011–2024.
- A work is kept if it carries at least one AI-family concept and at least one health-family concept, each with a relevance score of 0.30 or higher (concept_ids.csv).
- Counting. Each record is a publication attributed to one GCC country (full counting). A publication with affiliations in several GCC countries appears once per country. The 3512 records correspond to 3327 distinct publications.
- Per-country figures use records.
- Regional intra-GCC collaboration is computed on distinct publications (164/3327, 4.9%).
- The record-selection count of 112,480 is the sum of the six per-country searches.
- Top 3 institutions. The "top 3 institutions" share adds together the publication counts of a country's 3 most prolific institutions. A publication coauthored by 2 of them is counted for each.
