Description
đ Overview
The FOR-wood dataset was compiled within the SingleTree project and is aimed at developing methods to predict external wood quality properties from individual tree point clouds. The dataset accompanies the FOR-wood data science competition hosted on codabench.
đ Dataset Description
The data included in the zipped folder contains training data for 189 tree point clouds (.laz) with their respective whorl positions and stem taper measurements (.csv).
This dataset is a collection from different sources, listed here:
- ULS data from Norway (NIBIO, Stefano Puliti, Nicolas Cattaneo, Carolin Fischer, Rasmus Astrup)
- TLS data Finland (University of Helsinki, Jiri Pyörälä)
- TLS Sweden (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Henrik Persson, Petter Ideström, Raul De Paula Pires, Ritwika Mukhopadhyay, Kenneth Olofsson)
đ Benchmarking & Evaluation
The test set labels are not publicly available.
To benchmark models:
đ Submit predictions to the official FOR-wood data science competition.
