Description
Figure 4 Barcode-gap comparison based on species-level K2P distances in the original and expanded Taiwan COI datasets. A. Original dataset including 157 newly generated COI sequences; B. Expanded Taiwan dataset including 157 newly generated sequences and 75 public GenBank sequences. Each point represents one taxon. The x-axis shows the maximum intraspecific K2P distance, and the y-axis shows the nearest-neighbor K2P distance. Points above the diagonal line indicate positive barcode gaps, whereas points below the diagonal line indicate negative barcode gaps. Taxa showing negative barcode gaps are labelled with species numbers corresponding to Table 1: 10, Mogera insularis; 11, Mogera kanoana; and 45, Petaurista grandis. Species-level distance values and barcode-gap summaries are provided in Suppl. material 3.
