CodeSynq: Collaborative Execution Environment Sharing Using P2P and Firebase Relay presents a collaborative approach to sharing local code execution environments between developers. The system allows an authenticated user to share access to their local execution environment through a generated sharing code, while the actual program execution takes place on the host machine through the CodeSynq local service.

The communication layer uses two adaptive paths: a direct peer-to-peer (P2P) data pipe and a Firebase-based relay. CodeSynq automatically uses the available communication path according to connection conditions, allowing the execution workflow to continue when a direct peer connection is not suitable.

The current implementation supports single-file execution through the CodeSynq IDE and supports programming languages including C, C++, Java, Python, and PHP. The study evaluates the execution performance of the communication paths using practical test programs and discusses the observed differences in execution time.

The paper also discusses authentication, sharing-code-based session establishment, execution tracking, current limitations, and future improvements, including project-based multi-file execution and stronger execution isolation. The work is intended to provide a practical foundation for collaborative development where users can access another developer's execution environment without requiring the same development setup on their own machine.
