Protect the Protector Framework: Source Integrity, Source-Damaging Differentiation, and Authorship Preservation
Authors/Creators
Description
Protect the Protector Framework: Source Integrity, Source-Damaging Differentiation, and Authorship Preservation introduces a conceptual structural framework for preserving source integrity in authored cognitive architectures.
The contribution is situated within Marina A. Popova’s Human-AI Cognitive Development / Third Organism architecture. It addresses a source-preservation problem that may arise when a later framework, publication, curriculum, system, or institutional structure uses selected parts of an authored architecture while weakening, obscuring, or removing the relation to its source.
The framework defines and distinguishes source integrity, source-damaging extraction, source-damaging differentiation, source-preserving use, and the Evidence Gate before applying the Protect the Protector Test.
The central proposition is:
A later framework cannot use the damage it caused to the source as evidence that it did not come from the source.
Difference created by extraction is not proof of independence.
