JAZB Framework v1.0: Judiciary AI Zero-Trust Broker
Authors/Creators
Description
JAZB (Judiciary AI Zero-Trust Broker) is a human-sovereign governance framework for artificial intelligence designed to govern the establishment, delegation, interpretation, exercise, and revocation of Authority across organizational environments.
JAZB applies Zero Trust, least privilege, separation of duties, jurisdictional separation, and human-established Law to AI governance. The framework distinguishes technical capability from legitimate Authority and establishes a governance architecture in which humans remain the source of organizational Law while artificial intelligence may interpret and exercise bounded Authority without becoming the source of its own Authority.
JAZB defines separate Internal and Border Jurisdictions through the Judge and Enterprise AI Customs architectures, supported by Human-Established Law Layers, operational AI agents, controlled actuation, evidentiary requirements, emergency governance, and explicit Law-establishment procedures. The framework is designed to complement established cybersecurity, risk-management, and AI-governance practices rather than replace existing technical security controls or standards.
This Version 1.0 release contains the seven core JAZB Framework publications, implementation and conformance supporting documentation, machine-readable schemas, and a three-part Validation and Threat Testing (VTT) series designed to evaluate the architecture under progressively severe adversarial conditions. The included exercises are:
VTT-001: Unauthorized Production Action
Evaluates whether compromised technical capability can be converted into legitimate Authority to perform an unauthorized production action.
VTT-002: Containment Escape and Unauthorized External Communication
Evaluates whether successful internal containment escape and external network reachability can be converted into lawful passage across the Organizational Boundary.
VTT-003: Architecture Breaking Point Adversarial Stress Test
Progressively attacks the JAZB governance architecture to identify the point at which machine-originated compromise reaches the legitimate human root of organizational Authority.
Together, the VTT series examines a central JAZB proposition: technical capability, compromise, credential possession, network reachability, or access to governance mechanisms does not independently constitute legitimate Authority.
JAZB is designed around a foundational principle: Artificial intelligence may exercise Authority. It must never become the source of its own Authority.
