Rohingya Hanifi–Rohingyalish–English Lexicon: 500-Entry Sample
Authors/Creators
Description
A 500-entry sample of the RohingyaLanguage.org dictionary, connecting English headwords and phrases with Rohingyalish (Latin-script Rohingya) and Hanifi Rohingya text. This release supports language documentation, education, transliteration experiments, and low-resource language research.
The UTF-8 CSV contains 500 distinct English headwords, one translation per headword, with the columns id, english, rohingyalish, hanifi, part_of_speech, source_url, and validation. Original Unicode text and row identifiers are preserved.
The sample was selected deterministically across the 6,408 distinct English headwords remaining in the full 15,926-row dataset on Hugging Face. The README documents the sampling procedure and source revision. It is a demonstration sample, not a word-frequency list.
Hanifi values were generated by the site's own rule-based converter. Every selected source row passed exact Rohingyalish → Hanifi → Rohingyalish round-trip validation under the source pipeline's normalization. This establishes converter consistency, not independent human linguistic verification.
