Description

This repository contains the MATLAB and Python codes/scripts and associated model outputs developed and used for the manuscript “Sea-Level Change and Nuisance Flooding Along Central Eastern North America: Improving Projections Through Regionally Constrained GIA Modeling” by Soran Parang, Makan Karegar, and Glenn A. Milne. The materials include codes for regional mean sea-level projections, vertical land motion (VLM) and glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA) contributions, tidal harmonic analysis and reconstruction, calculation of local nodal corrections, estimation of the relationships between tidal amplitude/phase lage and mean sea level (M2–MSL), reconstruction of the evolving M2, N2, and K1 tidal constituents, nuisance-flooding projections, uncertainty analysis, and generation of the associated results and figures at 25 tide-gauge stations across central eastern North America.
