Description

The repository is organized in seven numbered folders that follow the execution order: 01_route_assessment_matlab contains the MATLAB route-level assessment that computes CCD-stage emissions, corridor-population exposure and estimated mortality; 02_forcing_allocation contains the Python module that allocates the aviation effective radiative forcing terms of Lee et al. (2021) to route-level emissions; 03_aggregation_and_sensitivity contains the aggregation and parameter-sensitivity scripts; 04_figures regenerates every main and supplementary figure; 05_data_and_tables assembles the supplementary tables, the Source Data and the per-year splits of the route-level dataset; 06_manuscript_build assembles the manuscript, its tables and the Supplementary Information; and 07_forward_projection contains the conditional projection to 2035 and 2050, including the country-raster construction, the population and mortality projection tables and the scenario parameterisation. Three further scripts document the corridor correction reported in Methods: corridor_lib.py implements both the legacy and the antimeridian-safe corridor overlays, repair_corridors.py recomputes the corridor population of every affected route from the HYDE rasters, and recompute_health_and_stats.py applies the corrected populations and regenerates every mortality, damage and co-location statistic reported here. The repository README documents the required input formats, the fixed parameter values and the expected runtimes.
