Description

This position paper presents five theses for the future of GND-based collaboration among the four humanities and cultural sciences NFDI consortia — NFDI4Culture, NFDI4Memory, NFDI4Objects, and Text+. Developed collectively during the GND-Forum Humanities@NFDI on 23–24 June 2026 in Göttingen, the theses aim to establish the GND not only as a data hub and organisational structure, but as a comprehensive and integrated data space for the humanities. This space is envisioned to allow users across disciplines to freely identify and link content, research data, and objects, advancing collaborative scholarship. The paper is open for public comment until 1 September 2026.
