The New Method integrates two distinct levels:

The foundation remains a sequential pipeline: observation feeding philosophy, philosophy constraining logic, logic licensing theory, and mathematics quantifying the resulting model.

Core Contribution: Human-AI Mutualism

The new contribution is the explicit articulation of intellectual human-AI mutualism as a recursive cognitive system, rather than a one-way use of an artificial tool. Two analogies clarify different aspects of this proposal:

• The Formula One Analogy (Functional Cognitive Extension): Just as skilled tool use can become incorporated into a sensorimotor loop, an external AI can become part of an active reasoning loop without becoming part of the biological brain.

• The Canoe-and-Oars Analogy (Complementary Asymmetry): The AI may possess the technical map and directional capacity, while the human supplies the transversal insight that closes a structure neither reaches alone.

Formalizations & Case Study

The paper formalizes three discovery modalities, revises the L1/L2 topology into a bidirectional loop, and presents quantum entanglement as a longitudinal case.

• The Longitudinal Case: The human investigator began without specialist knowledge of entanglement (and reports having to look up how to spell the term). Within a single sub-12-hour cycle, a substantive conceptual insight was produced. In less than five months of iterative human-AI work, the initial formulation was transformed into a substantially more disciplined v6.4 logical audit centered on the proposition: "preparation is not disconnection."

Methodological Hypothesis
