Description

Contemporary metropolitan tourism in historic urban centers has reached critical levels of cognitive friction, acoustic saturation, and visitor exhaustion. Traditional travel platforms prioritize commercial volume, accelerating overcrowding and decision fatigue.

This paper presents the Sensory Impact Score (SIS), an empirical mathematical framework engineered to quantify environmental, acoustic, and luminous conditions for restorative human mobility. Using Rome, Italy, as an empirical pilot benchmark, we analyze 15 monumental and sanctuary nodes across four physical telemetry dimensions: ambient sound pressure level (dB), solar luminous flux (Lux), crowd density index, and human physical energy expenditure (EC).

The model powers an orthographic WebGL spatial computing engine (<1MB runtime) and an algorithmic itinerary planner that mitigates traveler burnout through silent walking cloisters and optimal golden-hour sun synchronization.
