Hands-on with DashVERSE: Building and Customizing Research Software Quality Dashboards

As research software scales in complexity, tracking its quality, sustainability, and compliance with best practices is a major challenge for RSEs. The EVERSE project has developed DashVERSE, a customizable dashboard solution designed to monitor and visualize research software quality assessments.

This interactive workshop offers a practical walkthrough of the DashVERSE ecosystem. Participants will gain hands-on experience transforming abstract quality metrics into actionable insights. We will guide attendees through a complete workflow: deploying a local instance of DashVERSE, connecting software repositories to run automated quality assessments, and interpreting the visual widgets populated by the assessment data. Finally, participants will learn to customize preconfigured dashboards and tweak quality indicators to fit their specific domain or institutional needs.
