Pulse of the Library 2026
Authors/Creators
Description
The Pulse of the Library program, now in its third year, is a global survey of academic, national and public libraries on AI adoption, open science and the challenges shaping the future of libraries. Through insights from more than 1,800 librarians globally, the report reveals how the sector is balancing innovation, resource pressures and changing user expectations. It also shows how global library trends have evolved since the 2024 and 2025 surveys.
Analysis was conducted in partnership with an external agency, TBI Communications, with further qualitative interviews led by Clarivate.
