Data and analysis materials for the Scale of Cognitive and Emotional Distraction in Driving (SCEDD)

This repository contains the anonymized data underlying the study “When the Mind Leaves the Road: Development and Preliminary Psychometric Evaluation of the Scale of Cognitive and Emotional Distraction in Driving (SCEDD)”. The dataset includes 701 Italian drivers aged 18–22 years. The repository provides the full anonymized dataset, the exploratory factor analysis subsample (n = 350), the confirmatory factor analysis subsample (n = 351), a codebook, and a README file. Participant and school-context variables that could increase re-identification risk were present in the original database but were removed from the public release. Additional questionnaire variables not used in the analyses reported in the manuscript were omitted for data-minimization purposes.
