Authors/Creators
Description
Abstract (English)
The accelerated adoption of artificial intelligence, automation, and algorithmic management systems is changing the cognitive, emotional, and organizational demands of work, making technostress and emotional exhaustion increasingly relevant to occupational safety and health prevention. The objective was to analyze the relationship between workplace technostress, emotional exhaustion, and artificial intelligence adoption, identify risk mechanisms, and structure preventive measures applicable to management systems. A structured narrative review updated through September 2026 was conducted using recent scientific literature and documents from international and national organizations, with a synthesis of 20 priority sources and extraction of verifiable data for comparison. Results show that overload, invasion, complexity, insecurity, and technological uncertainty interact with work intensification, algorithmic surveillance, and loss of autonomy, while organizational support, training, participation, and human-centered design act as protective resources. Evidence also confirms that technology can improve performance and safety when implemented responsibly. It is concluded that prevention should act on work organization and integrate artificial intelligence governance into psychosocial risk management.
