DFAS-CM: The Foundational Evolution of the DFAS Causal Method
Authors/Creators
Description
DFAS-CM: The Foundational Evolution of the DFAS Causal Method is a foundational doctrinal record documenting the methodological evolution that led to the emergence of the DFAS Causal Method (DFAS-CM) within Dynamic Financial Applied Meta-Science (DFAS). Rather than introducing a new framework, financial model, or standalone theory, the document records why dynamic algorithmic financial modelling became insufficient as a complete explanatory mechanism and why a behavioral–temporal causal method became methodologically necessary.
The document traces the progression from the Alaali Financial Models Meta-Framework (AFMF), through the recognition of decisions as pre-numerical causal triggers, to the incorporation of time as a causal medium and A-SFBM (Alaali Self-Funded Behavioral Model) as the behavioral transmission layer. It formalizes the DFAS-CM causal sequence as Decision → Alaali Self-Funded Observable Behavior (A-SFBM) → Time → Effect, while retaining financial models as instruments of measurement and quantification rather than treating them as the primary causal explanation.
DFAS-CM further conceptualizes causality as circular, adaptive, path-dependent, and governed by feedback rather than as a linear sequence terminating in an observed effect. The record therefore establishes the doctrinal relationship among AFMF, A-SFBM, and DFAS and clarifies the methodological foundations of causal analysis within DFAS.
