FlexCHESS Press Release No. 8 – FlexCHESS Consortium Prepares for the Project's Final Review, Presenting Validated Results across Five European Pilot Sites

Eighth and final press release of the FlexCHESS project (Horizon Europe, Grant Agreement No 101096946). As the project approaches the end of its implementation period, the consortium prepares for the final review, consolidating the technical, scientific and societal results to be presented to the European Commission and independent reviewers. The release summarises the validated demonstration across five pilot sites — a renewable energy community in Bullas, Murcia (Spain); a multi-building pilot in Italy; an electric-vehicle and VESS integration pilot in Slovenia; an industrial demand-response pilot in the United Kingdom; and an island energy system pilot in Türkiye — through which the project demonstrated more than five distinct use cases and reached Technology Readiness Level 7. It further presents the core technical results (validation of the CHESS aggregation concept, delivery of the FlexCHESS open digital platform integrating forecasting, digital-twin modelling, decision support, flexibility services and market participation, and development of the CHESS-plug), the project's dissemination and stakeholder-engagement record, and the plans for sustaining results through the FlexCHESS Factory.
