Description

This dataset contains the genome sequence of Trypanosoma carassii (NL-2026), a freshwater fish trypanosome. This genome sequence was de novo assembled by Liu et al (2026. PMID: 42086637) PacBio HiFi long-read sequencing and Hi-C scaffolding technologies. The genome was assembled into 43 contigs, 34 of which were categorized as chromosomes. The Fasta file was downloaded from GenBank (assembly GCA_056247815.1; August 28, 2026).
