Description
This repository contains two companion works examining Niccolò Machiavelli’s The Prince through textual reconstruction and organizational analysis.
The Lucid Prince is a Lucid Conversion of The Prince designed to increase accessibility while preserving the dependency structure, argumentative relations, and important terms of the source text. Its notes, AC Weakening, and “Weaker Still” sections progressively separate Machiavelli’s observations from their historical particulars without treating simplification as replacement or interpretation as textual fact.
Why Machiavelli Works: The Organizational Admissibility of Political Power begins from those observations and asks why some of them remain valid after rulers, states, institutions, and historical circumstances are removed. Its method proceeds from Machiavelli’s text to an indexed continuation, intervention, reconstruction, AC Weakening, a frozen surviving proposition, and an independent cross-domain test. The purpose is not to show that Machiavelli was morally correct, but to determine whether he identified organizational relations that persist beyond politics and to establish the limits of those relations.
Together, the works form a single Machiavelli project: The Lucid Prince provides the structurally preserved textual basis, while Why Machiavelli Works performs the derivation and testing. The project draws upon the HJC Specification, Admissibility Calculus, and Cohaerentia Framework while remaining a distinct textual and analytical body of work.
