Pragmatika a magyar mint idegen nyelv oktatásában

Description

The volume describes pragmatics as a linguistic approach examining language activity in its cognitive, social and cultural embeddedness through its most defining concepts and theories. After a brief characterization of linguistic activity, it presents the topics of context, discourse and its types, deixis and coreference, conversational rules and implicatures, speech acts, and linguistic politeness. The main goal of the book is to help teachers who choose to teach Hungarian as a foreign language to acquire basic linguistic pragmatic knowledge. Therefore, it focuses on pragmatic competence and the related pragmatic failures and misunderstandings, as well as the description of certain speech acts of the Hungarian language – rejection, compliments and their acceptance, as well as requests – and the linguistically and culturally determined main strategies used during them. In connection with the speech act of the request, it also covers the methods of its presentation in the most well-known Hungarian as a foreign language textbooks.
