The Law of Continuity & Care™

The Law of Continuity & Care™ is a systems framework for understanding how human, organizational, and technological systems sustain—or fail to sustain—continuity across changing conditions.

The framework proposes that continuity is not produced by stability alone, but by the capacity of a system to preserve, protect, and regenerate the conditions required for continued functioning. It examines the relationship between human capacity, operational demands, environmental conditions, recovery, adaptation, and systemic care.

The Law of Continuity & Care™ provides a conceptual foundation for Human Systems Integration & Infrastructure™ – Society’s Backbone (HSII-SB™), with applications across human factors, systems engineering, organizational operations, human-AI interaction, resilience, infrastructure, and regenerative system design.

This work is presented as an evolving research framework. The deposited version establishes a citable record of the framework and its formulation at the time of publication. Future revisions may be published as subsequent versions.
