This replication package contains the data, Stata code, output files, and log files required to reproduce the empirical results in the manuscript “How Do Industrial Plants Respond to Short-Term Environmental Regulations? Evidence from China’s Air Quality Alerts,” conditionally accepted for publication in Environmental and Resource Economics. The package covers the regression discontinuity in time analyses, event-study/difference-in-differences analyses, environmental inspection analyses, and the robustness and heterogeneity tests reported in the manuscript and online appendix.
